SANDY HOOK MEMORIAL STITCHED PILLOW

This memorial pillow is adapted from a design by Marly of Samplers & Santas.

It measures approximately 12 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches high.

Stitching is done on stained muslin in DMC floss. 

There are 6 cross stitched 'crosses' on one side with pearl like beads sewn in the centers.

Border and backing is a gold and black sunburst fabric.

ABC'S CROSS STITCHED SAMPLER PEAR ORNIE -SOLD

 

I hand stitched the ABC's onto osnaburg fabric using rustic colors of DMC embroidery thread and sewed that into a pear shape.  The pear is stuffed firmly with polyester filling and a 'real' stick is attached as the stem.  I tied a strip of homespun fabric around the stem for the 'leaf'.  The back is plain osnaburg.

Pear measures approximately 9 inches from the top of stem and 5 inches across at the widest part of pear.

Pear is NOT coffee stained, but if you would like it finished that way, just let me know when you place your order.

PRIMITIVE MISS LIBERTY STUMP DOLL SHELF SITTER - SOLD

 

 Miss Liberty measures 11 inches tall.  She is made from muslin and stuffed with polyester filling.  She's been stained to give her an 'olde thyme' look.  

Her eyes are sewn on buttons and her nose and mouth are hand stitched.

Her body has been hand stitched and painted.  Hair is twisted jute.  Her crown is made from Warm'n Natural and I've sprinkled it liberally with 

glitter for some sparkle. Sparkle is also added to the blue star.

 The pear tree & sheep with crow are my own design.

Pillow measures 19 1/2" by 13 1/2"

The ABC's are stitched in black and gold embroidery thread on stained muslin.

The tree is brown, green and gold.

Sheep and crow are black.

I used a black and cream checked homespun for the side borders and backing.
Pillow is stuffed with polyfill.

HANGING AROUND SNOWMAN ORNIE - SOLD

 This cute lil guy's face is made of Warm 'n Natural and is stuffed with polyester filling.

His eyes are sewn on beads and his mouth is hand sewn X's.

Nose is made of sculpey clay which has been hardened in the oven.

His hat is homespun and inside is a long wire that  you can bend around a tree branch, shelf peg, hang on a door knob, etc.  He has a tassle on the end of his hat!
You can adjust his hat any way you like.

I've sewn a snowflake button on the front of the hat.
