The flowers are shades of brown & rust wool with 3 wooden beads sewn in the centers of each one.  Leaves are green wool.

FRAMED 12" L X 91/2"W PENNY RUG APPLIQUE MOTHER'S DAY SAMPLER- SOLD

 A beautiful gift for Mother's Day.   'First My Mother Forever My Friend'

I printed off the verse on unstained osnaburg fabric. 

The fabric is a little darker, more of an oatmeal color than the photo shows.

I blanket stitched 3 brown/rust wool flowers onto  the fabric.

The frame measures 12" long by 9 1/2" wide.  I painted the frame black. 

If you prefer the frame distressed, please let me know when you place your order and I will do that, no charge.

This sampling can either be hung or displayed on a plate stand.

FOLK ART PENNY RUG TREE SNOWMAN DOOR GREETER- SOLD

Snowman measures 19 inches tall.

He is made of osnaburg, stuffed with polyester filling.

His nose is a cinnamon stick, which I've hand stitched to his face.  Eyes are white & brown wool felt pennies with a black bead sewn in the center.

There are 5 red and green wool felt penny 'flowers' sewn onto his body with gold and off white perle cotton threads.  I've sewn small rusty bells into the center of each smaller penny.

The 'stem' is dark green perle cotton thread, although on my screen it almost looks blue.

I've sewn 2 sticks for his arms.  While he doesn't have legs, if you request them, I'll be happy to add some stick legs at no extra charge.

His top hat is made of black felt and is sewn to his head, not glued.  The 5 pennies on the hat band match the pennies on the body, but the colors are reversed.  They also have small rusty bells sewn in the centers.

I've attached a doubled perle cotton loop on the back for hanging.

My version of a Crows Roost Primitives pattern.
Snowman stands 16" tall ( to top of hat ).

 Made from stained osnaburg and stuffed with polyester filling.  Hat, star, eyes, mouth and fabric patches under buttons are all wool felt. He has a stick nose and a stick is sewn on for mouth. Buttons have rusty bells sewn on. 

Tree is made from a tree branch and faux greenery.

PRIMITIVE BROWN / RUST SCALLOPED PENNY RUG CANDLE MAT - SOLD

This is a 13 inch round scalloped penny rug styled after primitive wool penny rugs.  The front and back are FELT material in a light brown caramel color as are the center pennies.  The large and small pennies are 100% wool fabric in rusts and dark brown.  As you can see from the photos the center is large enough for a lamp base to fit on if desired.

PRIMITIVE SHEEP WITH WOOL PENNY RUG BLANKET : SHELF SITTER / CUPBOARD TUCK - SOLD

Sheep measures 9 inches wide by 5 inches high.

I used warm 'n natural for the body, and stained it to give it a prim look.  The face is painted with black acrylic, and ears are felt which I've sewn on.

A rusty wire collar is wrapped around neck with one large rusty bell in the center and 2 smaller rusty bells on each side of it.

The blanket is made out of 100% wool.  It is finished on both sides.  Vintage buttons are sewn on the two larger  white pennies. The entire 'blanket' has been blanket stitched to the sheep.

Sheep does not stand alone, must be propped.

LOVE EWE MAKE-DO #2 - RED BLANKET - SOLD

This is my own design.  The sheep is made out of warm 'n natural batting, stuffed with polyfill.   Her face has been painted black with acrylic paint, ears are felt which I've sewn on, eyes are beads which are also sewn on.  Both sides of sheep have complete features.  Legs are twigs which are glued into the batting.

The blanket is made of red felt with red and white wool hearts.  Hearts are also on opposite side.  The bottom of the blanket on both sides has penny circles in black, red, and white.

The Make-do consists of a rusty jar lid, an old vintage wood spool / spindle and a candle ring of white, black and gold pip berries and rusty stars.

This item measures a total of 12 inches high.  

Sheep measures 6 1/2" long by 9 1/2 inches wide.

The 'fleece' has not been stained.  However, if you prefer it that way, please let me know when you place your order.

 This lovely oval floral candle mat measures 12 1/2" long by 9 1/2" wide ( center).

The backing is black felt but the entire front is 100% wool.

The base is felted  wool gray soft tweed boucle (knobby look) and the flowers and leaves are red and green wools.

I've sewn 12 small wooden beads in the center of the flower.

The base and flower petals are blanket stitched in red perle cotton and the leaves in a dark green perle cotton.

PRIM 13 INCH ROUND WOOL PUMPKIN PENNY RUG, CANDLE MAT- SOLD

 This is my very first wool penny rug.  

The template for the shape of the penny rug was made for me by my prim friend Teresa Miller of Teresa's Prim Treasures.  The pumpkin is my own design.

It measures 13 inches round.

All material on the front of the penny rug is 100% wool fabric. The backing is black felt.

The colors of the 'pennies' are muted gold and black.  I used black embroidery floss to blanket stitch around the edges of the pumpkin and pennies and gold embroidery floss around the edges of the black rug and for the pumpkin vines.

I'm very happy with how this turned out and hope it finds a good home.
