 This lovely wool and felt hanging Christmas tree pillow ornament measures 3" x 5".

The pillow is made of off white felt and stuffed with polyester fill.

There are 5 layers of 'tree branches' in green wool. I've sewn golden beads onto each layer. I also attached off white perle cotton thread for hanging on tree or peg.

I printed a prim digital label onto the front of unstained osnaburg.  The fabric looks lighter in the photo than it actually is, which is more of an 'oatmeal' color.

The backing is tan and black homespun and the same label is also printed onto this giving you a two sided pillow.

PRIMITIVE SCARECROW HEAD DOOR GREETER - SOLD

 

 I adapted this cute scarecrow door greeter from a wooden pattern design by Palette Primitives.

I made the head with muslin which I've coffee stained and filled with polyfil.

The nose is made from a scrap piece of wool and the white eyes are soft 'n natural.

The hat is made from wool felt and I've attached a prim sunflower.  Hair is raffia.

Door greeter measures approx. 11 1/2 in. high by 13 1/2 in. wide ( hat brim end to end).

I've attached a rusty wire on the back for hanging.

PRIMITIVE OWL, SOFT SCULPTURE, 100% WOOL, ORNAMENT - SOLD

 

I used to collect owls, many many moons ago.  Although I don't collect them anymore, they still hold an attraction for me.  This owl is a design by Rock River Stitches.  The leaf and acorns I added . . . just because I liked them.

The owl measures approx. 7" tall.  He is made of 100% repurposed wool and stuffed with polyester filling.  I attached him to a stick from my backyard with some rusty wire and also secured with fishing line.

The leaf is also made of wool and has been blanket stitched.  There is wire between the front and back, for bending.  One small portion of leaf is hand sewed to owl with fishing line.  The acorns are made from homespun with real acorn caps.  They are sewn to the wire holding the leaf in place.

There is a rusty wire hanger on the back.  Perfect for hanging on a peg shelf, cupboard door knob, etc.

SHERIFF RUPERT THIBIDEAU - PROCTECTOR OF MICE ( PRIMITIVE/WHIMSICAL)- SOLD

 

 

Sheriff Rupert Thibideau measures 12 1/2" tall.

He is made from stuffed, painted and stained muslin, which I've sanded to give him a worn look.  He is my own original design.

His vest is made of wool, held together by rusty safety pins, rusty wire and rusty bells.

The edges of his vest are blanket stitched.

Rupert's hair and mustache are wool, attached by a felting needle.

Rupert's hat is made from painted muslin.  His eyes are hand stitched and his tail is jute.

 Rupert's Background: He's a French mouse from Texas whose ancestors date back to the 1600's.    Rupert's surname is derived from the French personal name Theobald meaning bold or brave.  An ancestor on his mother's side was said to have been a Constabulary in France under King Francis I.  Thus, Rupert was destined to become an official protector and keeper of peace between mice and cats.

I've done the applique and stitching on osnaburg fabric.  The strawberries and leaves are 100% wool.

Strawberries and leaves are blanket stitched.  The strawberry blossoms are white buttons with yellow floss stitched in the centers.

I've sewn a border of burgundy/tan homespun around the osnaburg.

The oak frame measures 17" x 14"

The stitchery measures 14" x 11"

17 1/2" HIRAM PRIMITIVE SNOWMAN - SOLD

Hiram is a 17 1/2" tall primitive snowman made from a pattern by Crooked River Mercantile.

Hiram's body is made from stained muslin.  I've sewn on  10 buttons with black thread down the front.

His eyes are French knots.

His nose is a small twig.

Hiram's mouth is hand stitched.

His stocking cap is 100% wool with 3 small rusty bells on the front brim and one large rusty bell sewn on the end of the cap.  

The scarf is red, green and tan homespun fabric with fringe on the ends.

Hiram's arms are twigs inserted into his body.  A gold wool star with blanket stitching hangs from one arm on coiled rusty wire.  

Hanging from Hiram's shoulder is a wool satchel filled with snowy evergreens and red and gold pip berries.  The satchel is dark brown and black.  The front of the satchel has 3 large buttons sewn on and the bag itself has been blanket stitched in gold colored floss.

20 INCH TALL CRYSTALINA SNOW LADY DOLL - SOLD

So far, this has been my favorite doll to make.  Crystalina Snow Lady is a design by Homebodies.  She measures 20" tall.

Crystalina is made from stained muslin, stuffed with polyester filling.  Her eyes and mouth are hand stitched and her nose is dark orange wool felt, also hand stitched.

Her coat is gray & white marbled 100% wool.  The edges have all been blanket stitched in black floss.  There are 10 buttons sewed down the front in red, white and black. Her arms are inside the coat arms, and those are sewn at the shoulders with big black buttons.

The pocket is made from black wool, blanket stitched at the opening in red floss and has a hand stitched red wool star sewn in the center.  I've inserted faux Christmas greenery and berries into her pocket.

She is wearing a burgundy & cream plaid homespun scarf.

Crystalina's mittens are made from the same red wool as the star, the edges are blanket stitched and the mitten cuffs are black wool felt with red floss stitching.

Her ear muffs are also made from black wool felt. 

Crystalina's boots are painted red and have some 'snow fluries' sprinkled on them.  

This doll comes signed and dated.

PRIMITIVE PUMPKIN SHELF SITTER WITH WOOL FEATURES - SOLD

This item was crafted from a pattern by Megan's Primitive Cupboard.

It measures 14 inches long by 5 inches high.

Pumpkin is made from muslin that has been stuffed with polyester filling, stained with a coffee mixture and painted with acrylic paint.  Then sanded and rubbed down with my favorite blend of spices.

The pumpkin's face is hand stitched with scraps of wool for the eye area and nose and he has mismatched button eyes which are also hand sewn on. I've attached coiled rusty wire near the stem.

PRIMITIVE SHEEP WITH WOOL PENNY RUG BLANKET : SHELF SITTER / CUPBOARD TUCK - SOLD

Sheep measures 9 inches wide by 5 inches high.

I used warm 'n natural for the body, and stained it to give it a prim look.  The face is painted with black acrylic, and ears are felt which I've sewn on.

A rusty wire collar is wrapped around neck with one large rusty bell in the center and 2 smaller rusty bells on each side of it.

The blanket is made out of 100% wool.  It is finished on both sides.  Vintage buttons are sewn on the two larger  white pennies. The entire 'blanket' has been blanket stitched to the sheep.

Sheep does not stand alone, must be propped.

LOVE EWE MAKE-DO #2 - RED BLANKET - SOLD

This is my own design.  The sheep is made out of warm 'n natural batting, stuffed with polyfill.   Her face has been painted black with acrylic paint, ears are felt which I've sewn on, eyes are beads which are also sewn on.  Both sides of sheep have complete features.  Legs are twigs which are glued into the batting.

The blanket is made of red felt with red and white wool hearts.  Hearts are also on opposite side.  The bottom of the blanket on both sides has penny circles in black, red, and white.

The Make-do consists of a rusty jar lid, an old vintage wood spool / spindle and a candle ring of white, black and gold pip berries and rusty stars.

This item measures a total of 12 inches high.  

Sheep measures 6 1/2" long by 9 1/2 inches wide.

The 'fleece' has not been stained.  However, if you prefer it that way, please let me know when you place your order.
