SHARING A TEDDY BEAR I MADE FOR 11 YR. OLD GRAND DAUGHTER

We are getting ready to take our first cruise next week.  It's a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas.  I stopped working on Easter items since there isn't much time left.  My 11 year old grand daughter just loved my standing bunnies and wanted me to make her one.  She chose the fabric she wanted but after considering it, I think the floral pattern is just too large for a little bunny.  I asked her if she'd mind if I made it into a teddy bear instead, and that was ok with her.  This is my first EVER teddy bear.

I plan on making a couple more for my 2 younger grand kids too, and letting them choose their own fabrics.

PRIMITIVE BLACK CAT & PUMPKIN DOLL - SOLD

 This adorable cat doll is made from my own pattern.

He's made from muslin which has been stuffed with polyfil, painted, stained and sanded to give him a worn look.
I've sewn on mismatched buttons for eyes and a large rusty bell for his nose. Whiskers and hair tufts are black embroidery floss.

I've tied an orange and black checked homespun bow around his neck and he's holding a small fabric pumpkin.

Cat stands 10" tall by 6" wide

Cat is not meant as a toy, but made as Halloween decoration only.

I sewed mixed homespun fabric strips in Fall colors in 3 sections and they are stuffed with polyester filling.
Backs and fronts are the same. I've stitched X's along the sections in black perle cotton thread. Each candy corn has a raffia bow.
These candy corn are NOT stained/primmed, but if you prefer them that way, let me know when you place your order.

LARGE PRIMITIVE HARVEST FABRIC PUMPKIN

 This is a really nice LARGE primitive style pumpkin, perfect for your Fall season decorating.

It was adapted from a design / pattern by Folk *Art* By*Dee

Pumpkin measures approximately 25" round by 13" high.

It is made from muslin, stuffed with polyester filling and has been stained and painted. The trailing vine is made the same way. I've glued some Spanish moss around the top of pumpkin / stem.

 This adorable folk art cat with a Cheshire smile can be hung or sit on a shelf. It's been made from a design by Threadbare Primitives.

Cat measures 10 inches high by 6 inches wide.

It's made from black and white small checked homespun fabric and is stuffed with polyfil. Facial features are hand sewn on and stained/painted.

The pocket is black and tan large checks/plaid and I've sewn a mustard/white checked star to the front with a rusty bell.

Inside the pocket are a moon and a star, wrapped with rusty wire & bells around wooden sticks.

There is a wire on the back of cat's head for hanging.

PRIMITIVE BROWN BARN CAT

 This wonderful primitive style barn cat was created from a design by Tennessee Ridge Primitives.

He measures 12.5" high and approx. 5.5" wide

Cat is made from stuffed muslin which has been painted and sanded & rubbed down with cinnamon to give him an old worn look.
His eyes are mismatched buttons and nose & mouth are hand stitched. Whiskers are made of rusty curled wire.

He wears a rusty wire collar with 3 rusty bells.

I've hand sewed a quilted pocket of floral fabric as his pocket and stuffed it with preserved Sweet Annie & green & pink pip berries.

FOLKART WHITE SHEEP PULL TOY - SOLD

 This sweet soft sheep decoration is made of white flannel. It's face is painted black.

A mustard and cream colored homespun star is hand sewn onto its body and a brown wood button is attached to the heart.

Sheep has 2 old vintage thread spools sewn onto the bottom of body as 'wheels' and a jute rope is attached beneath its neck with a large rusty bell at the end.


Sheep measures 8" wide by 6.75" high.

 This is an ADORABLE primitive bee, design by Blue MooN BegiNNiNgs.

He is made of painted & stained muslin and has been sanded to give him a worn look. His nose & brows are sculptured. He has yellow/gold buttons for eyes, sewn onto stained osnaburg circles which are hand sewn.

The antennae are made of twisted rusty wire & rusty bells, as are the arms and stinger. He also wears a rusty collar with 2 rusty bells. He has burlap wings and is holding a large spray of preserved Sweet Annie, tied in a bundle with stained cheesecloth. I've attached a prim tag that reads Bzzz with a rusty safety pin.

3 PRIMITIVE GRINNING ANNIE FLOWERS IN PRIM CAN GARDEN

 

These adorable grinning Annie like prim flowers are a design by Kim's Whims.

 

They are made from stained and stuffed muslin. Each flower has a different patterned backing 

The largest flower has buttons for eyes and a felt nose.

The smaller oval faced flower has beads for eyes and her nose is embroidery floss.

The smallest flower with grinning teeth has small button eyes and her nose is colored in with prisma colored pencil.
All eyebrows, lashes and mouths are drawn on with a fine point marker.

All flowers have real stick stems & different green homespun 'leaves'. All petals are burgundy felt.

The grinning flowers are tucked inside a 'prim can' with green Spanish moss. The tin can has been painted to look rusty/prim. I've wrapped a stained cheesecloth strip around the can and attached a prim tag that reads MY PRIM GARDEN with a rusty safety pin and 2 small rusty bells.

This piece measures 14.5 " high.

PRIMITIVE AMERICAN WOOL SHEEP DOOR GREETER - SOLD

 This is a LARGE Sheep door greeter measuring approximately 13 1/2" wide by 11" high, adapted from a design by KENTUCKY PRIMITIVES.

The sheep is made from stained muslin, stuffed with polyester filling.
Its ears are black felt and it has beaded eyes, which are sewn on. Legs are thick sticks which I've wrapped stained jute rope around. I've rubbed cinnamon all over him for a rustic/prim look.

The sheep has a blanket of burgundy & tan striped homespun with a stained muslin tag that reads AMERICAN WOOL Est. 1776. This is hand sewn onto the blanket. Large rusty bells are sewn on to the points of the blanket.

I've also wrapped jute around its neck and attached another rusty bell to that. A large spray of Sweet Annie is attached behind neck and lies across its back. I've sewn jute rope to the back for hanging on a door/wall/cupboard.

SNOW GIRL NODDER / MAKEDO / TREE TOPPER- SOLD

 

Measures approximately 11 inches tall.  Head is LARGE - approx. 17" round.

I made this snow girl from muslin which I filled with polyester filling and stained with my coffee mixture.
Her eyes are black buttons attached to a square of burlap. Her eyelashes are made of black felt. Nose is orange felt, stuffed and wrapped with floss. Her mouth is hand stitched with black embroidery thread.
I've attached a 'collar' that is a vintage doily in cream, dark green and burgundy crochet thread. I've attached faux holly leaves/berries to her collar. She is attached to a rusty bed spring.
I made her beret from red felt and pom pom from multi colored yarn.
Her hat and nose are sprinkled with mica flakes.

 This sweet bunny nodder measures 12 inches tall from bottom of spring to top of ears.

She is made of osnaburg fabric, stuffed with polyester filling.

Her eyes are black beads, which I've sewn on to her face and her eye brows and nose (pink) are hand stitched.

Whiskers are white upholstery thread.

Her dress is burgundy, pink, white and green with multi designs: paisley, floral, polka dots, checkered and striped.  Her bow matches the dress.  Ears are hand sewn on but also glued to the bow to help them 'stand up'.

The dress is hand sewn onto bunny's head and a rusty bed spring is inserted into the head.

PRIMITIVE SPRING BUNNIES IN CARROT DOOR GREETER - SOLD

 

 This is an adorable LARGE hanging door greeter carrot with 2 prim bunnies inside.

Pattern design by Blue MoonN BegiNNings

It measures 22 inches long from top of hanging wire to carrot bottom.

The carrot has been painted, baked, sanded, treated with a coffee/vanilla mixture and baked once more.  Rusty wire is wrapped around the carrot and rusty bells are pinned to the carrot with rusty safety pins.  Spanish moss has been glued under the bells.

The carrot is stuffed with polyester filling.  The bunnies have sculpted noses/mouths and have also been painted, baked, sanded and stained.   Spanish moss has been inserted at the top of carrot and around bunnies and I've inserted some Sweet Annie.

A prim stained tag reads sPrInG and is attached with a rusty safety pin.
